Visiting Professional Ben From Ditto Press

During Ben's Talk I made the notes you can see below.

As well as the talk about how Ben got to where he is in his career we had a work shop surrounding the idea of research. We were asked to think of something that interested us personally and to think about how we could collect information and images about it. I decided on botany because it has always been something I was interested in but not had the time to focus on. Because it is such a large subject matter I will need to focus on a more specific area. I decided that the majority of my research would be hands on an collective; pressing flowers and drawing as many as possible. When talking to Ben he said that drawing was not a legitimate form of research. However, I strongly disagree with this; drawing something makes you examine it and really attempt to understand it in a way that simply collecting photographing it would not.
