OUGD601 Context of Practice 3 Question Development

I have been developing my question for a while since I originally outlined craft as the area I wanted to explore for my cop three module. Below is a flow chart showing my thought process and development up to my most recent subject area.
After my recent decision to focus my extended practice module on my lettering and typographic practice, it felt natural to pull my cop along with this. However, typography was far too open to actually create a focus and a dividing line while I am doing my research upon which to differenciate what is relivent and what is not.

At the moment the working title that I have is:

The science of chalkboard design and creation; a fine craft or simply a tool for evoking nostalgia?

The areas that I would wish to address within this title:
-Craft theory and how this can apply to the process and aesthetic of creating chalkboards.
- Opinions of other practitioners about craft and what it is and why people do it and respond to it.
-Introduction of idea of units of removal to define craft.
-legacy of chalkboards and origin and development of design decisions during creation (typographic origins and agreed set of symbols)
-Context in a digital era.

I will need to continue reading and thinking about how this could be structured to be most concise and sensible exploration of these themes.

I think what I feel at the moment is that nostalgia and craft interweave on a number of levels and become greater than the sum of their parts, could I fine a new definition of this conglomerate in design?
