OUGD601 COP 3 The Paper Cut Bindery

As a primary research method and just to get some outside perspective on the issues I want to address in my dissertation I have made contact with Roger at the Papercut Bindery in Shipley. I have written up some questions around my subject matter to stimulate coversation and get the informtion I need.

- Would you define what you do as craft?

- Does and awareness of historic processes and traditions inform your work?

- Do you feel freedom in your design process?

- Do you think your work evokes nostagia in its audience?

- How attatched do you feel to the objects you produce?

- Would you say yours is a social or solitary process?

- Do you think nostalgia plays any role in creating an audience for your creations?

Although I will keep these questions the same for each person I talk to I will not stick religiously to these, because I want this to be a conversation not simply and interview.
