Visual and Factual Research

After assigning work for each person to do the previous day, we got together on Tuesday morning to talk about what we had found and plan what we would be doing that day. Below you can see my visual research on the ideas of locks and keys.

This is a small mind map made considering the usability of a project with a swear word in the title, becuase although we really like the title we are uncertain of its acceptableness. We decided that although there were no adverts in the public domain with full swear words in we were using the word as part of us addressing our target audience of students. However, it is a point we will raise in our crit.

We also each went away and asked three people if and how they might have lost valuables the majority of the answers we got back were simple things like leaving bags in taxis and on busses, lots to do with travel. Also specifically the habit of putting all the important documents and portable valuables in one small bag so that it is easily accessible during a long journey, obviously making its self a big target for theft.

One of our team also came back with a number of crime statistics for possible use in our project. They were quite surprising and very relevant because not only are they applicable to leeds but to students in particular. Once again insuring we address our target audience.
