Zingy-
zesty recipes and ingredients came to mind such as orangeade
and more oriental foods such as stir-frys, the most promising of which included ingredients such as chilli, ginger and lemon. These are ingredients we could use as the starting point for our edible creation.
Bubble-
This brings to mind soft sweet flavours which coat and muffle the mouth, this could be something like a cheese cake
The dominant ingredients that come to mind are dairy in some form (the consistency of which relates to the smooth shape of the bubble) and sweet bubble gum (ish) flavours that are not natural in origin (much like that which is needed to create bubbles).
Ooze-
This definitely instantly suggests something with a liquid centre for the actual oozing to occur. However, this could be expanded on considering the luxurious nature of the word and the way it exudes luxury and sin in a food context. This got me thinking about a dessert available at you sushi clued chocolate mochi.
This definitely relates to the the subject and its soft texture and liquid centre make is a full embodiment of the word ooze. Chocolate seems like a reasonable direction to go in with this word and chocolate puddings with melted centres could also be worth considering.
Whisper-
This brings to mind a very light texture and flavour, something that doesn't stick to the pallet but rather has a light, fleeting moment in the mouth light a light fresh soufflé , this could be a soft lemon or perhaps preferably vanilla.
Another consideration could be candy floss with its whisper light texture.
Sizzle-
The majority of connotations for the word sizzle relate to heat and its transferal, this could be expressed through a mouse with larger and larger bubble making their way up the letter (not exactly achievable in the time) or even colour or texture (the substance used to create the letter form could be hardened on one side to suggest it has been subjected to heat). However, I have no specific ideas recipe wise for this word.
Snap-
There are many recipes that could express this word, such as biscuits and brandy snaps which clearly convey the word in the way the snap and break when eaten.
Tomorrow me and Ros will sit down and talk about how we could approach these ideas and the ones she will bring in in a way that is feasible and inventive. It may also be helpful to visit a few cookery shops to see if any of the problems we foresee can be solved with equipment we were unaware of.
