They make it seem so real throughout by adding in details such as Charlotte is doing the editing which makes this video hilarious and really makes you believe that they are just people blogging!
This got me thinking about how doing this brought a new life to a classic story and a new audience to it as well. Could we take classic stories and create twitter accounts for famous characters so people could interact with them, ask questions and travel with them through their story? It could bring new life to classics that are falling out of favour with modern teen audiences.

OUGD406 Studio Brief 02 Research into Real Time Campaign/ Media
Something I commonly encountered during my research into viral campaigns was the idea of real time advertisements. This means the withholding of information and then sequential reveal over a long period of time. BBC news tweets are as close to real time as it gets, reporting as soon as the article is written rather than waiting for the news slot on TV. An example of an illusion of real time is the Lizzie Bennett Dairies, which are a series of blogs on youtube re telling the story of Pride and Prejudice like Elizabeth Bennet is actually a modern girl with an internet presence. Each character also had a twitter feed and during the two month run of the blogs, just like if the characters were people going through all of the story, they update, send pictures and even leave slight but unclear hints about what will happen next. The fact that everyone knows the story didm't stop it being a huge sensation, which is testament to the fact that with holding information can be just as effective as handing it straight over, if not more. The first episode can be found below.
