OUGD406 Studio Brief 04 Analysing Other's Work
http://r-kelly1316-dp.blogspot.co.uk
This is a project which really caught my eye in the crit. it was an idea to produce something to help students work when they have a hangover. I just find this idea really comical and engaging in a way that I think will get the new students talking to one another. I like the aesthetic choices that have been made as well as the idea. The hand writing style font speaks of informality and sloppiness in a endearing and non condescending way. The Handmade connotations of the font create a caring impression but in a way that is toned down by the simplicity of the style. The bright orange is quite a comical addition in its self because such a bright colour might be considered painful to look at during a hangover. The one thing I would change about these designs is the blunt ended lines underneath the type. The font is soft and rounded in its terminals and this sudden change jars the design slightly and could have made it much more harmonious.
